Paul is an experienced solicitor with Higher Rights of Audience in the Crown Court. He has been working in the criminal justice system for a number of years and has over 10 years Post Qualification experience
Paul has a wealth of experience in all aspects of criminal work both at the Magistrates Court and Crown Court including the preparation of complex cases for trial, conducting trial advocacy and representing clients at the police station.
He also has experience in representing clients on a private basis in relation to immigration and those appearing before the City Council Committees regarding the grant, revocation, suspension of private hire/hackney carriage licences.

Michael started working as Legal clerk in 1992 and shortly after qualified as a police station accredited representative. In 2010, Michael qualified as a solicitor and in June 2013, he qualified as a solicitor advocate obtaining his criminal courts Higher Rights of Audience.
He has considerable experience in representing and advising clients who have been arrested at police stations together with preparing cases for court. His role involves him attending upon clients and going through the prosecution papers with them. He is an experienced trial advocate who ensures that the advice given is informed, reasoned and based on a consideration of all available information to ensure clients achieve the best possible outcome.
Michael has extensive experience in working for multi-disciplined practice firms and in managing small to medium sized legal practices. He has built up a strong criminal defence reputation and loyal client base.
Maxine graduated with a LLB Hons Law Degree from Cardiff University in 2000 and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. Maxine has managed a high volume of complex criminal defence work predominately in the Magistrates and Youth Court. She is an experienced trial advocate who always endeavours to get the best possible result for her clients. She also advises clients in police stations on a range of serious matters. She is the firms COLP and COFA (Compliance Manager for the Legal Practice and Accounts).
In 2007, Maxine took an extended career break. During this time she gained invaluable experience whilst working for Youth Offending Team co-ordinating support for disadvantaged young people and teaching law. During this period she further developed her interest in working with youth clients and has an excellent understanding of working with clients whom have complex needs including learning and mental health difficulties.
Her empathetic and measured approach is why she has built up such a strong reputation in criminal defence work and a loyal client base.
In 1984 Martin started working in the criminal justice system and he qualified as a Police Station Accredited Representative in 1995. He has established a strong loyal client base and manages a large volume of serious criminal work preparing cases throughout the criminal process from Magistrates Court to the Court of Appeal.
His role as Head of our Crown Court Department involves him undertaking a wide range of work including; advising clients at police stations, predominately in relation to extremely complex and very serious allegations. He also considers case papers, interviews clients and witnesses, prepares statements and liaises with experts and professionals. He instructs and sits behind counsel and devises and advises on case strategy and legal arguments.
Martin also undertakes voluntary work including sitting on the board of the Bristol Hate Crime Service Users Strategy Group. He also regularly attends the Safer Bristol’s Strategic Partnership Against Hate Crime meetings and is a board member of SARI (Support Against Racial Inequality).
Kira is our Practice Manager and Company Secretary. Kira has a GNVQ in business, has completed the first stage of her ILEX and is currently studying for a law degree through the Open University. Her youthful and energetic approach, organisational skills, knowledge and modern outlook is invaluable to us providing a high quality service to our clients.
Kira is also a Crown Court Clerk who has considerable experience in preparing and working on complex multi-handed Crown Court cases.
